SITTING AROUND THINKING OF WAYS TO CHANGE MY LIFE (2022)
This sequence of photos was taken chronologically on one day starting from sun up, ending at sun down. Sitting in one place all day was an attempt to find my bearings in a rapidly changing life. By displaying each of the small photos taken in a line on the wall, the viewer will only see the gradual changes in light and shadow by getting close, looking through a little window at a rare moment of stillness in a fast life. We all at some point think to ourselves, “if only I had more time to think”, in this project I finally gave myself that time. With no distractions, not even food, all there was to think about was the state I had found myself in, and when I would take the next photo. Did sitting there all day thinking, do anything at all? Or is it action that drives change in one's life. In documenting this act I want to eternalize my thoughts when Sitting Around Thinking of Ways to Change my Life.
